Sharon Dahl grew up on a strawberry farm. Her first grade teacher encouraged her art talent by having her to create life size figures of George Washington and Santa Claus from construction paper. Sharon has been involved in dance since the age of 6, attending ballet class and performing with her local studio.

Sharon attended The Burnley School and The School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, where she was awarded a scholarship and The Zallinger Award for her pastel paintings.

Sharon started out as a fashion illustrator, working from patterns and fabric samples. Soon she was applying her techniques to editorial and advertising work. She has a passion for fashion and interior design, having completely remodeled her 1960's rambler with her husband, Tim. They live near Seattle with 3 maine coon cats and 1 tuxedo cat.

Sharon illustrated icons of the "Woman's Day Woman" for the redesign of the magazine in 2003, along with collateral projects such as calendars, cards, umbrellas, press kits for promotions. And she was chosen to be among 20 artists worldwide that created art for the relaunch of the Ford Thunderbird in 2002. Her "worldly girl" style has been licensed for Macy's 2005 Holiday Gift Card and Greeting Cards for mjZoom. She has been a regular contributor to Voyages and Trailblazer magazines.

Her charming, accessible yet sophisticated style has been commissioned by several hospitals, the travel industry, arts organizations, women's magazines and fashion & retail clients. Her style runs the gamut from fashionably chic women to maps and icons.

Clients include:

Avon, Swedish Hospital, Seattle Public Library, Minnesota Medical Foundation, The 5th Avenue Theatre, The Bon Marche, D Magazine, American Heart Association, Toolbox Studios, Newsweek, American Express, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles, Miami Home, Washington Mutual, Teen Magazine. Her mixed media style employs cut paper, charcoal line with touches of pastel and texture to create a one of a kind hand-made look.
